The 30-year success we enjoy comes from teaching students real skills for the real world. Our approach is rooted in the hands-on, intensive training that gives the tools and experience needed to begin successful careers in professional acting.

Our faculty, which is at the heart of our success, is made up of professional working actors, directors, producers and writers. The faculty's skills and talents bring our diverse and eclectic groups of students to the peak of their abilities regardless of the level they are at when they enter.

From acting and producing short scenes for film and stage to full participation in live shows and students’ original film work, our students experience a first-hand philosophy of “learning by doing.”

The soundness of this approach is reflected in the achievements of KD Studio alumni - a diverse body of professionals who have distinguished themselves throughout the entertainment world.

Our workshops are designed for beginning actors as well as those individuals with performing experience. They range from weekend-long special workshops to the 15-month conservatory program.

We have been successfully training professional actors for stage, film, and television for over 30 years and we are the only accredited, degree-granting Conservatory outside of New York or Los Angeles.
