Summer Camps

Acting and Musical Theatre
 
Our ever-popular Summer Camps for Teens and Children are designed for students with little or no previous acting experience. From film acting techniques, to singing and dancing for musical theatre or putting together a stage show, or even learning about professional modeling, students acquire necessary skills for stage and camera acting and learn about the entertainment industry. Above all, they have lots of fun doing it.
 
Children’s Film Camp (Ages 7-11)
 
This intense two week program teaches acting through actual hands-on experience. Course includes: television commercials, open-scene work, on set conditions, camera acting techniques, acting terms, and improvisations. A photography session and a color headshot is included. Classes will be split by age group. 5 sessions to choose from.

With candor, humor and insight, the show explores the issues that confront many young people today: issues of prejudice, identity, self-worth, literacy, sexuality, substance abuse and perseverance.

Based on the book Charlie and The Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl Roald Dahl’s timeless story of the world famous candy man and his quest to find an heir comes to life in this stage adaptation of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, which features the songs from the classic family film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The memorable score features “The Candy Man”, “Pure Imagination”, “Oompa Loompa” and ”I Want it Now”.

 
Motion Picture Production Summer Camp (Ages 13-17)
 
KD Studio is proud to offer this two-week digital filmmaking program based on our state of the art Motion Picture Production Program. Under the guidance of industry professionals students gain knowledge of filmmaking in a hands-on environment, focusing on screenwriting, directing, producing, and post production. Each student makes a short film, and as a team, a final project film.

Fashion Dimension Camp (Ages 12-17)
 

Using the latest techniques from modeling professionals, students develop self-image, confidence and their own style. Course includes skin care, runway, makeup, hair care, etiquette, television commercials and photography. Course concludes with a graduation fashion show and photo session with an 8 x 10” color headshot.
