Working (A Musical)

Directed by Steven Kavner
Presented by Imagination Players and KD Studio

This summer camp musical production will prepare students to perform in Working (A Musical). Nearly all scenes will include all cast members. What you bring to the rehearsal process will be what makes the show a unique success!

Nominated for six Tony Awards, Working, based on Studs Terkel’s best-selling book of interviews with American workers, has been updated for a modern age, featuring new songs by Tony Award-winning Lin-Manuel Miranda, as well as favorites by Stephen Schwartz, Craig Carnelia and James Taylor. Working paints a vivid portrait of the men and women who the world so often takes for granted. It’s strength is in the core truths that transcend specific professions; the key is how people’s relationships to their work ultimately reveal key aspects of their humanity.
